Science East is now taking registrations for March Break camps 2010. Register for specific days only, or for the whole week. Day camps are for ages 8-12. Robotics camp is for ages 10-13.

DATES & THEMES

Monday, March 1 "Sound and Music"
Find out how the worlds of music and science overlap, and play some of the strangest instruments you've ever seen. Then try to invent a new musical instrument of your own!

 

Tuesday, March 2 "The Twilight Zone"

Join Science East and learn about blood, identifying creatures by tracks and scat, and maybe even experience a new moon!

 

Wednesday, March 3  "Secret Spies"

Shhh! Don't tell anybody, but we're going to learn about all kinds of spy stuff like secret codes and invisible ink. Plus find out some of the ways that detectives catch the bad guys, too.

Thursday, March 4   "Crazy Chemistry"

Our fun chemistry camps are always popular with young scientists. Make slime and other cool chemical creations to take home, plus see some incredible experiments and explosions.

 

Friday, March 5   "Build it"

Spend the day constructing interesting devices and making a game you can take home to entertain your whole family.

 

ROBOTICS Monday, March 1 - Friday, March 5

Remsoft Robotics camp offers young scientists aged 10-13 years old the chance to learn how to build and program robots using LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Navigate through an obstacle course, sumo wrestle, and make a unique creation to compete in the final challenge. Registration is for the full 5 days: $150 for Science East members, $160 for non-members.

TIMES & LOCATION
All activities take place at Science East

Camps run 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM daily

Drop-off time: 8.15 - 9.00 AM

Pick-up time: 4.00 - 4.45 PM

 

COST
Science East members: $32/day or $150/week
Non-members: $35/day or $160/week

Payment is due on registration. Camp fee includes all materials and activities. Meals not included. Please bring 2 snacks, lunch and a refillable water bottle.
